6 Months Already

Well my little girl was six months yesterday. I can't believe how fast time has gone! I still remember the day she was born like it was yesterday.

In fact Chris and I still talk about that day she was born and how blessed we are to have her.

Over the last six months she has been such a joy for us to watch as she learns and explores the world around her. One of her favorite things to do is to watch David. It doesn't matter what he is doing, she loves to laugh at him and play with him. It is really fun when we go out in the car and David and Jaclyn just start to laugh at each other. It starts when Jaclyn will laugh at David as he is playing and talking by himself, then he thinks she is funny. So he turns in to a comedian just for her. Its pretty funny for us as the back seat turns in to a giggle session.

Jaclyn also is getting around the living room on her own, she likes to roll and pull herself around. Crawling isn't to far away. We started Jaclyn on rice cereal and a water sippy cup. She is also taking a bottle sometimes which is nice for Chris.

She is growing so fast that I am trying to take lots of pictures and remember all the little things that she is doing because the last six months went fast that I know that the next six will go even faster!

Silly Girl

Jaclyn is growing so fast, she will be six months in just over a week! Some of Jaclyn's favorite things to do are sitting up and watching David play and laugh at him. She also loves to "crawl" around the living room. Her latest thing is to stick out her tongue. We tried to take pictures of Jaclyn with her little pointy tongue but most of them didn't work. So here are the pictures that we did get.

Noises

I grew up in a house of boys, I have three brothers and then there is myself. I remember when I was younger and my brothers would make all sorts of noises that they thought were funny! I can remember thinking that boys have strange humor.

Well that strange humor has started in my house. David has discover that he can make different noises such as fake burping, grunts of all kinds and clicking noises. That is just a few of the new noises that have started here. This afternoon he woke up a little early from his nap and normally I can go and lay down with him and he will go back to sleep, well not today. He started to make grunting noises that he thought were so funny he would start to grunt and then laugh uncontrollably at himself. Crazy kid!!

It has been raining here in Abbotsford for the last few days so this morning we went out and bought David some rain boots with Winnie-the-Pooh on them. He was so excited about his "Pooh boots" that he wore them until his nap and after he woke he kept asking me to take him outside to play. So as soon as Chris got home from work David and I got ready and went outside to play in the rain. He had so much fun running and jumping in the rain that we will definitely be doing that again!!

Well it has begun at our house...........craft time!! David has played with play-doh and coloured in Sunday school class but really hadn't shown much interest in it. A few weeks ago I packed his crayons and a colouring book with us when we went to my parents house for a visit. He loved it and when we went home and every day since then he asked to colour with Pooh (he has Winnie-the-Pooh colouring books)

Then I pulled out some play-doh and he was so excited. He couldn't decide which one he wanted to do first!! I have since then moved his little table out to the living room so that he has a place to do his crafts.

I put a piece of paper on his table to cover it, he thought it was fun to colour over the whole table without getting into trouble :)

Growing way to Fast!!

Jaclyn is growing so fast these days!! Ever since Jaclyn was about two months old she has been trying to sit up when she is laying on her back and last week she started to sit on her own. I have to help her into the sitting position but once she is there she can sit for up to twenty minutes without help. She is also rolling both ways and in the last few weeks she started to move herself around the living room carpet. She moves the best backwards and around in circles, I think that crawling will be soon! I will put her on the floor and go to the other room and when I come back she is on the other side of the room, its crazy that my baby can move so much on her own. Lately she likes to get herself under the couch. I am not sure if she does this on purpose but she does it ever couple of days.

Every morning I have a cup of tea. On most mornings David will come and sit with me and wait until I am done so that he can have his cup of tea. I let him hold the mug and "drink" the last drip. He loves it and sometimes even get a little taste of my tea!

New Car

David got a new car for his birthday. It is a blow up car that he loves to bounce on. He likes it so much that when he wakes up in the morning its the first thing he wants to do is play with his car, and its the last thing he does before bed. Last night when we were all playing together I put Jaclyn on the car for a "ride" and she really liked it. They had a lot of fun together!! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the car it will be bring David and Jaclyn many hours of fun!

Summer so Far

This summer has been going by so fast. We have been keeping busy though, between Chris working for the city of Vancouver, David turning two and Jaclyn learning how to roll over and about the world around her. It has been fun so far. We have been able to get in some camping (we are hoping for more) and trips to the ocean, the park, lots of walks and getting some swimming in. Here are just a few pictures of our adventures. We hope that everyone else is enjoying their summer as much as we are!!

Summer so Far

Bumbo

Jaclyn is growing so fast. She is just over four months now and she loves to play and laugh with David. He also loves to play with her, they have a lot of fun together.

Jaclyn is always trying to sit on her own, she really enjoys the ability to see what is going on around her. So Chris and I decided to buy her a Bumbo seat. She loves it and so does David!! We never bought one for him because we didn't think that he would like it. Normally those seats are used and fit babies up to about a year I think. Well David is small and fits in the seat still and even fits in it with the tray on it. Yes he is that small!!

Sudden Brianwaves

Chris and I were a little crazy a couple of weeks ago and wanted to go walking but it was rainning so we decided to go shopping at Metrotown in Vancouver on a Saturday. Well, as we thought it would be, it was very busy. For the first half of our shopping trip Chris tried to keep up with David. Well I pushed Jaclyn around in the stroller. Then I had a sudden brain storm and I had the idea of putting them together, and as you can see, it ended up working out pretty well. Better then I thought it would go.

They were very good together, David had his snack there and he made Jaclyn smile and giggle a bit. They were very cute together.
I am very glad that they get along and that David is gentle with her as well as Jaclyn being patient with him.
They sure have fun together!

She is getting Bigger

Well Jacyln is growing so much these days. She now weighs 15lbs and is smiling and giggling all the time. I am really enjoying having a little girl. Chris and I wanted to get Jaclyn a new car seat that stays in the car. When we went to buy her a car seat there were two one that was grey and the pink one. As you can see we bought the pink one. I have to tell you I really like the pink one, its so girly and fun. Anyways here are some pictures of the kids in the back of our truck.
