November Update

Sorry it has been awhile since I have blogged. We have had a busy November so far. The beginning of the month we had some family visit us for a few days and had a wonderful visit with them!
All four of us have been sick at some point this month. This cold/flu has lasted a long time around here. Jaclyn has been hanging on to the cough for the last two weeks. She has also been teething a lot and is still working on popping a couple of teeth. David was finally getting better. He had a few days where he was feeling good and then on Monday he woke up with a runny nose. Yesterday he developed a cough and only wanted to cuddle with me. Then just before his nap he started to lose his voice and after his nap he felt worse. After taking him to the doctor we found out that he has a chest infection. Luckily I caught it early and he is feeling much better after two doses of his medicine. I am a little concerned about Jaclyn now because her cough changed today. So I will be watching her and if she gets worse I will be taking her to the doctor as well. I am praying that both of my kids get better before the weekend or at least a lot better by Friday.
I have the most wonderful husband! For my birthday this year Chris wanted to do something for me that we are normally unable to do. He gave me a weekend trip away for just the two of us! I was given a few options on the location and I chose to go to Seattle. I have always liked Seattle. Its just one of those places that I enjoy visiting. When we were dating we made day trips there and it will be nice to go there again just the two of us. Chris has been looking into things to do well we are there and he has found a few things that he thinks I will enjoy. He hasn't told me all of his plans but I am sure looking forward to it! One thing I am really looking forward to is sleeping past 6:30am for three days in a row. I have been more tired these days due to my thyroid acting up and I am looking forward to a little more sleep then I usually get.
I am also looking forward to some alone time with my husband! As most of you know over the next two years Chris will be very busy with school for his masters degree. When he isn't in class or studying I expect him to be spending as much time with our kids as possible as well as working a part time job. So this weekend will be a great time for us to be alone together before he goes fully into his studies next month. I am not saying I will not see him once he starts school but I expect our time to be cut with everything else going on in our lives. So as you see I really want my kids to feel better before we leave them for the weekend. They will be in great hands with my brother and sister-in-law and I am not worried about them. I just know that they will all have a better weekend if David and Jaclyn are feeling better. As well as the fact that my kids like most children want their mom when they are sick and I will be in Seattle.
So if you are the praying type, please pray that my kids feel better and that they have a wonderful time with their aunt, uncle and cousin this weekend.
I will try and post some updated pictures of the kids soon as well. They are both growing so fast. David amazes me all the time with how much he is growing into a little boy. He has quite a sense of humor. Jaclyn also amazes me. I call her my little firecracker because she is always going and will have these burst of energy and get into everything she can get her hands on. She also loves to laugh and has started to dance this week. David and Jaclyn love to dance together! Chris and I love to watch them together, they are becoming good little friends!

So Sweet

Today when I was putting David down for his nap. He gave me a hug and started to play with my hair and then he looked up at me with a big smile and said "pretty mommy".
Then he gave me a kiss and went to his bed.
It was very sweet and it put a smile on my face. I love my little boy!
